1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website operated by World Humanitarian Service Foundation (“WHSF”, “we”, “us”), a non-profit organization registered in Ghana. By browsing the site, donating, sponsoring a child, subscribing to our newsletter, or otherwise engaging with us online, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. About WHSF
WHSF began its humanitarian work in 2010 and was officially registered as a non-profit in 2016, headquartered in Tamale, Ghana. We deliver humanitarian relief, orphan care, education, food aid, healthcare and sustainable community development programs across Northern Ghana and beyond. Our accounts are independently audited by WAYO CONSULT (ICAG/F/2026/379).
3. Use of the Website
You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or related systems.
- Upload viruses, malware or any harmful code.
- Use the site to harass, defame or impersonate any person or organisation.
- Copy, reproduce or republish content from the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
4. Donations
4.1 Payment processing
All online donations are processed securely by Paystack. By donating, you also agree to Paystack’s terms and privacy policy. Donations are charged in Ghanaian Cedis (₵) unless otherwise stated.
4.2 Restricted gifts
Where you donate to a specific project (for example the Water Project, Child Sponsorship or Livelihood Aid), we will apply your gift to that project. If a project has already been fully funded or cannot proceed for any reason, WHSF reserves the right to direct your contribution to the most closely related program of need.
4.3 Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or without your authorisation, please contact us at info@worldhsf.orgwithin 14 days. Genuine errors and duplicate transactions will be refunded after verification, subject to any processing fees charged by Paystack.
4.4 Receipts and tax
A confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at checkout. WHSF is a Ghana-based non-profit; the tax treatment of donations in your country of residence is your own responsibility.
5. Child Sponsorship
Child sponsorship contributions support a child’s nutrition, healthcare, schooling and general welfare. Sponsorship does not create any legal guardianship or right of contact outside of the channels coordinated by WHSF. To protect the children in our care, all communication, photographs and visits are managed by our team and authorised caregivers.
6. Volunteering and Partnerships
Volunteer applications and partnership enquiries are reviewed individually. Acceptance is at WHSF’s discretion and may require background checks, references and signed child-safeguarding agreements.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, logos, photographs, graphics and the WHSF name — is owned by or licensed to WHSF and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with proper attribution; any other use requires our written permission.
8. User-Submitted Content
By submitting messages, testimonials or images to WHSF (via forms, email or social media), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for our charitable and promotional purposes, with appropriate attribution where reasonable.
9. External Links
Our site may link to third-party websites (such as Paystack and partner organisations). We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites.
10. Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided “as is” for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, WHSF makes no warranties — express or implied — about the completeness, reliability or availability of the site. Program details, beneficiary numbers and project targets may change as needs evolve on the ground.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WHSF, its trustees, employees and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or any inability to access it.
12. Safeguarding
WHSF operates a zero-tolerance policy on child abuse, exploitation and fraud. Any concern can be reported confidentially to info@worldhsf.org.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
